September Locavore Potlucks

As a way of celebrating the new Slow Food Rochester,  we are holding an exciting series of local potluck dinners in September. RSVP to a potluck and meet other slow food fans over a great meal! Many events have limited capacity, so RSVP soon if you are interested!

Here is a list of current potlucks, many of which you can join by RSVPing on the link provided. We'll be adding more as the month progresses! September is NOFA-NY Locavore Challenge month, and we encourage you to also register for the NOFA-NY Locavore Challenge (www.nofany.org/events/ny-locavore-challenge).

Buy at the market and gather to eat at Java's at 10AM. If interested for a market tour, meet at Java's at 8:45.

Eat on the farm! Bring lawn chairs and we'll eat in the fields. If raining, in the greenhouse. Come early if you'd like a tour of the farm.
No restrictions. The meal will be the luck of the draw on what people bring! Local Beer and wine allowed.

We will be hosting a local food dinner for people from out of town who are here for a meeting.

Asian/Filipino theme potluck in the South Wedge.
Host will help coordinate dishes after you RSVP. Local Beer and wine allowed.

Enjoy vegetarian fall Harvest potluck of locally-grown food on the deck overlooking Irondequoit bay (weather allowing!).
Local beer and wine allowed. No animal flesh, stocks, fat etc. Eggs, dairy and honey are fine.

The big event of the fall! Slow Food Farm Dinner at Honeyhill Farm! Tours, bonfire - eating chicken and produce raised on the farm. Easting as locally as it can possibly be!
Slow Food Rochester will be providing organic chicken, garlic and heirloom tomatoes from the farm, and sweet corn from nearby. Bring appetizers, salads and desserts. Beer and wine allowed.

No restrictions. The meal will be the luck of the draw on what people bring! Local beer, wine, and spirits welcome.  Sustainably farmed meat is as welcome as well.
